Eric Lineback has been an entrepreneur since a very young age, and he has always applied his entrepreneurial instincts in every professional role he has played.  Early in his professional career, Eric worked on projects for various Fortune 500 companies as a strategic management consultant with McKinsey & Co. in Chicago.  He then went on to work for a mid-size private investment company in Houston and then Washington, DC, helping to manage a diverse portfolio of assorted assets, including several operating companies, real estate investments, equity buy-out funds and marketable securities.

Later, as the Internet was just starting to take off commercially in the mid-1990s, Eric co-founded a highly successful boutique Internet design and development firm, helping his clients to create an engaging online and offline presence.  After his good friend and business partner of almost twenty years passed away unexpectedly, he moved on to start a business consulting practice, once again finding new ways to apply his entrepreneurial, strategy and marketing experience to helping other ventures.

Eric and Chuck Clough, founder of Above The Basement, met as Juniors in high school, and the two quickly bonded over their love of music and playing rock & roll – Eric on the drums, and Chuck on the guitar.  They still play together, when they can, to this day.

Eric currently resides in southern Vermont with his wife and daughter and loves all that Mother Nature has to offer.  He has served on several non-profit boards and town committees over the years and is a big believer in community involvement and democratic engagement.  He is also a co-founder and serves on the board of Vote Hemp, the nation’s oldest non-profit industrial hemp advocacy group.
